Concept Modelling is the process of transforming a designer's sketches into a 3D model to evaluate a design theme. Early package information is key to ensuring a feasible outcome. At Geodigm we use both ICEM Surf and Alias to create concept models.
Reverse Engineering is where a surface is required to "fit" a set of scan data within a specified tolerance. ICEM Surf and Alias are perfect tools for this. Reverse Engineering can be used to recreate tools for legacy parts and where engineering need CAD models of parts where none exist.
